Оформление: на доске название праздника и его символы, кассета с записями Рождественских песен, Рождественские атрибуты, елочки, венки, поздравительные открытки, чулки, колпаки, мешок с подарками, костюмы.
Ход праздника
Звенят рождественские колокольчики. Звучит песня”We Wish You a Merry Christmas”
Главные действующие лица – учащиеся 6-х классов, члены кружка “Культура Великобритании”

Christmas Star: Christmas is a religious holiday. We celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. We celebrate Christmas on the 25th of December. There are a lot of traditions connected with Christmas. Every year the people of Norway give the city of London a present. It’s a big Christmas tree and it stands in Trafalgar Square. Most families write Christmas cards. In England almost every family receives more than 60 Christmas cards.
Snowflake 1: Christmas is always the happiest day of the year. Children like to think of it as their own holiday. But for everyone it is a very special time. The fun starts the night before, on the 24th of December, Christmas Eve. Traditionally this is the day when people decorate their trees. Children hang stockings at the end of their beds hopping that Farther Christmas will fill them with toys and sweets.
Snowflake 2: Relatives usually meet for the big Christmas dinner. The traditional Christmas dinner is roast turkey with vegetables and Christmas pudding. In England people make Christmas pudding before Christmas. Everyone in family stirs the pudding and makes a wish. It’s a traditional meal, which people cook for Christmas party. When the pudding is hot they put 5-penny pieces in it, a button or a ring. If you find a button in your piece of pudding you will be rich, a ring – marriage.
Clown: At Christmas we follow old customs. We feel the magic of the season. Most families decorate their houses with a Christmas tree, buy presents for the family and friends. Sometimes English families trim trees outside their houses and place candles in the windows. Red and green are the traditional Christmas colours.
Snow Maiden: The 26th December – Boxing Day is an extra holiday after Christmas. This day people usually give and receive presents. This is time to visit friends and relatives or to sit at home and watch football.

(Санта Клаус проходит с мешком по классу и дети вынимают из мешка записки с пожеланиями шуточного подарка на английском языке. Например,“Dear Santa, bring me a kilo of snow, please!”)
Master of Ceremony: – Now, let’s play! “Где хвост у Кролика?”
(К доске выходят пять уч-ся 5 класса. Задание – нарисовать на доске символ года Белого Кролика. Каждый рисует свой символ. Мастер Церемонии выбирает лучшего, а затем стирает хвосты у кроликов. Затем выходят еще пять уч-ся и с завязанными глазами пытаются приклеить заранее подготовленные меховые хвосты к изображению кроликов. Уч-ся несколько раз прокручивают вокруг своей оси. В конце конкурса всем участникам Санта Клаус раздает подарки).

Сценарий праздника Рождество на английском языке
Рождественский Вечер
Необходимый реквизит: кассета с фонограммой песен, магнитофон, песенники читающим по–английски гостям, бенгальские огни, костюмы, ясли, сено, фигурки животных, кукла, дары царей, Рождественская роза, гирлянды, Рождественский носок. Также нужны колокольчики, мешок с подарками Санта Клауса, письмо, серпантин, фотоаппарат.
Действующие лица: ангелы (желательно 12), Санта Клаус, мальчик Джонни, три царя, Мария, Бефана, Мадлен (все роли исполняли ученики). Костюмы ангелов – длинные белые балахоны, сзади пришиты вырезанные из листа ватмана крылья, венок из "золотой” мишуры на голове. Костюмы очень простые, не требующие больших расходов и лёгкие в исполнении, но со сцены выглядели очень эффектно. Костюм Санта Клауса выполнен типично. Цари были одеты в накидки и короны, костюмы женщин – неброские балахоны и накидки на головы в стиле того времени. Все исполнявшиеся во время вечера песни (здесь в сценарии все они выделены курсивом) были распечатаны отдельно и розданы в зале.

Ангелырасступаются, освобождаяцентрсцены. Зрители видят сцену: на сене стоят ясли, где лежит новорожденный "Христос” (мы приглушили на сцене свет, включили светильник, немного настоящего сена принес кто–то из учеников, завёрнутая в пеленку кукла лежала в детской корзинке). Вокруг сидят Мария и ещё два человека. Все исполняют песню "WhatChildisthis”.
На сцену выходят Три царя (1,2,3), им навстречу "старая женщина” Бефана.
1: Good morning to you, old woman! Tell us, what country is it? And what is your name, kind woman?
B: This is Italy and my name is Bephana.
2: And we’re the three Kings– Gaspar, Melhior and Baltaras. Angels are singing Christ is born today. Be so kind; show us the way there.
B: Oh, no! I’m so busy today. I can’t show you the way! Don’t ask me, I see no reason to leave my housework!
3: OK, we’ll find the way to that holy place. But you’ll be punished for that. From now and on every Christmas you will roam about the country trying to find Christ’s holy face among the children’s.
Бефана уходит. Мудрецы подходят к колыбели младенца и возлагают свои дары. На сцене появляется "бедная девушка Мадлен”.
Мадлен (обращаясь к ангелам): Оh, dearAngels! I’ve come here to fall on my knees before my King, but I’m so poor, that I have nothing to give him.
Один из ангелов протягивает ей розы (мы взяли искусственные, со сцены они эффектно смотрелись).
Ангел: Take these Christmas roses, my poor girl.
Всеисполняютпесню"WhatChildIsThis” ещё раз, пока Мадлен дарит розы. Ангелы поднимают под руки всех участников и становятся все вместе полукругом.
Ангел 6: Today is Christmas Eve. Look! Everything is rush and hustle! Streets are decorated with lights. In homes there is a great air of expectation. Children are decorating Christmas trees and preparing Christmas socks.
Всеисполняютпесню”O, Christmas Tree!” (два куплета). На сцене мальчик Джонни наряжает ёлку, вешает Рождественский носок и ложится спать.
Слышится звук колокольчиков (можно взять китайскую” Музыку ветра”).
Ангел 7: Oh, hush! Can you hear those bells? That is Santa with his red–nosed reindeer Rudolph coming.

Rudolph, the red–nosed reindeers
Had a very shiny nose,
And if you ever saw it,
You would even say it glows!

All the other reindeer
Used to laugh and call him names,
They never let poor Rudolph

Santa:: OK, OK! Those chimneys are so dirty! All are sleeping. Who’s there? Jonnie–boy. (ЧитаетписьмоДжонни). Let’s see if he is good that Jonnie. Oh, yes. He helps his little sister to tie her shoes, he doesn’t forget to feed the homeless cat and he behaves well at school. So, get your Christmas gift. Merry Christmas! Bye!
Ангел 12: Santa is hurrying to other kids. He will give out his gifts to all good boys and girls, moms and dads, cats and dogs.

В 1. Let’s compete! We will cook candy canes.
В2. Две команды встают друг за другом в колонны, две команды RED и GREEN
Участники надевают фартуки, берут в руки красные маркеры, бегут к доске, где на листе бумаги надо нарисовать леденец с полосками. Затем бегут к своей команде и передают фартук и маркер другому участнику. На соревнование дается 2 минуты.

Вы должны передавать чулок, пока музыка играет, когда она остановится, игрок, у которого окажется чулок, выбывает и садится на свое место, победителя снова ждут призы.

На Руси подарки дарит Дед Мороз - Father Frost, а в англоязычных странах – Санта Клаус - Santa Claus. Это старый мужчина в красном костюме живет на Северном полюсе, весь год в своей мастерской он готовит подарки, чтобы порадовать детей.

Под музыку входят дети в зал и встают вокруг елочки.

Trees, candles, angel wings,

Snow covered hills,
Little toy trains,
Dolls in their frills.
2 ребенок : I love Christmas, ribbons of gold,

Входит снеговик.
Снеговик : Елочка! Моя елочка! Еле узнал. Ой, здравствуйте, ребята? Долго я ее искал. Следы привели меня сюда. И зачем она вам понадобилась?
М. Поппинс : Здравствуй, Снеговик! Мы все очень рады, что ты пришел к нам в гости.
Снеговик (недовольно) : Это еще какой праздник?
М. Поппинс : Рождество . Один из самых любимых праздников во всем мире у ребят и взрослых. В каждом доме к его приходу все готовятся, наряжают елку, зажигают на ней огоньки, украшают разными игрушками…
Снеговик : Ага! Что же получается? Срубили елку в лесу без разрешения, да еще веселитесь. А вот мне не до веселья.
М. Поппинс : Почему?
Снеговик : Не смог я уберечь елочку в лесу. Что теперь мне сказать бабушке Зиме? Это она назначила меня сторожем в лесу и наказала зорко охранять деревья от вырубки, посыпать их мягким снежком, укутывать от холодного ветра, следить за тем, чтобы всем зверям зимой было тепло и не холодно.
М. Поппинс : Извини нас, пожалуйста. Но позволь елочке остаться здесь. Мы тебя очень просим. Правда, ребята? Ну, подумай, какое Рождество без елки ? Смотри, сколько гостей собралось у нас сегодня. Ребята, но, по-моему, гость очень расстроился. Может быть…
Снеговик (перебивает) : Давайте сделаем так : я буду загадывать загадки о животных. Если отгадаете, елочка ваша, а если нет – моя. Договорились?
М. Поппинс : Ну что, ребята? Принимаем предложения Снеговика? Хорошо, Снеговик. Мы согласны. Загадывай. (К детям) . Слушайте внимательно. Кто отгадает – быстро поднимайте руку!
Снеговик :
1. I am red. I go, run and jump. I catch a hare. (a fox) .
2. I am small. I am grey. I run. (a mouse) .
3. I am big. I am grey. I run. I catch a hare. (a wolf) .
4. I am white. I run and jump. (a hare) .

Снеговик хвалит детей по-английски , пожимает руку, гладит по головке.
Снеговик (говорит, уходя) : Ну, что ж, отгадали вы все мои загадки. Уговор есть уговор. Елочка ваша.
М. Поппинс : Снеговик! А может быть, ты останешься с нами? У нас будет весело. Ой, из-за этой истории с елкой я забыла вам сказать, что сегодня к нам должен прилететь Санта-Клаус. Вот только что-то его пока нет. Ну, что, Снеговик, останешься?
Снеговик : Если вы так просите, остаюсь. Ведь я так люблю танцевать, играть.
М. Поппинс : Замечательно! (Приглашает играть) . Let’s play!
Игра : Кто быстрее оббежит вокруг елки и поиграет на барабане (свистнет в свисток; съест апельсин и свистнет в свисток) .
Стук в дверь. Звучит мелодия русской народной песни. В зал входит, пританцовывая, Печкин, в руке несет конверт.
Печкин : Здравствуйте, ребята, родители и все остальные! Принес я вам письмо и какое! Только я вам его не отдам.
М. Поппинс : Это почему же?
Печкин : А у вас документы есть? А? То-то, нету! А без документов нельзя.
Снеговик : Скажите, уважаемый почтальон Печкин, а от кого это письмо?
Печкин : Да тут как-то написано… (Пытается прочитать) . Никак не разберу.
М. Поппинс : Покажите мне. (Идет к Печкину) .
Печкин (прячет конверт) : Ишь вы какие! Руками не трогать! (Показывает) .
М. Поппинс (читает) : Санта-Клаус. Ребята, это же письмо от Санта-Клауса! Печкин, отдайте его нам.
Печкин : А зачем вам оно так нужно?
М. Поппинс : Потому что у нас сегодня праздник.
Печкин : Праздник? Праздники я люблю. А какой сегодня праздник, ребята?
М. Поппинс : Children, three, four!
Дети хором : Christmas!
Печкин : Чего, чего? (Обращается к ребенку) . А по-русски как?
Дети : Рождество !
Печкин : Рождество ? (Думает, решая) . Хо-ро-шо! Пляшите и письмо ваше!
Дети исполняют танец-песню «The Hockey-Pokey».

Дети образуют круг. Исполняя первый куплет, они двигаются в хороводе. Затем дети изображают движения, о которых поется в песне.

Печкин : Где находится Англия ?
М. Поппинс : На Британских островах.
Снеговик : Но как мы туда доберемся?
М. Поппинс : We have no ship! No train! Oh! I know! I have a magic umbrella. Чтобы у зонтика появилась волшебная сила, надо правильно назвать цвета. (Показывает цвета) . What colour is it?
Дети отвечают : It is green и т. д.
М. Поппинс : Good for you! Thank you! Отправляемся в путешествие. (Вращает зонтик, говорит спокойным мягким голосом)
Снеговик : Где это мы? (Испуганно глядит по сторонам) .
В центре зала стоит Снежная девочка.
Снежная девочка : Good afternoon! Вы на острове танцев. I am Snowgirl. Welcome, dear guests! These are… my friends, snowflakes. Where are you? Fly here! I am waiting for you!
Звучит музыка, в зал, кружась в танце, вбегают снежинки.
М. Поппинс : Снежная девочка, мы летим в Англию , к Санта-Клаусу. А на ваш остров мы приземлились немного отдохнуть.
Снежная девочка : Отдохнули? Но прежде чем вы покинете этот остров, вы должны со мной потанцевать. (Кружится в вальсе) . Если вы станцуете хорошо, то сможете продолжить путешествие. Если нет, останетесь здесь, пока не научитесь танцевать. Таков закон острова.
М. Поппинс : Ребята, нам надо постараться, если мы хотим попасть к Санта-Клаусу. Давайте покажем, как мы умеем танцевать.
Дети исполняют танец-песню «Act and sing» .

М. Поппинс : Тогда полетели с нами! Ребята, вы не против?
Дети : No!
М. Поппинс : Тогда все вместе продолжаем наше путешествие. (Вращает зонтик) . Sleep! One, two, three. Fly umbrella with children and me. Children, wake up!
Печкин (деловито) : Мы уже в Англии ?
Снеговик (оглядываясь) : Нет, по-моему, мы еще не в Англии .
Звучит музыка, появляется Баба Яга.
Б. Яга : Батюшки мои! Сколько народу! Мальчики и девочки! (Подходит и трогает) . На обед! (Прикрывает рот рукой) . Я хотела сказать : здравствуйте, зверята! Зайчик… На ужин! Ой, я хотела сказать : добро пожаловать, гости дорогие. Как я рада вас видеть. Каким ветром вас сюда занесло?
М. Поппинс (растерянно) : Вообще-то мы попали сюда совершенно случайно. (Оглядывая всех) . И нам уже пора. Правда, ребята?
Б. Яга : Ишь все, какие хитренькие! Вы находитесь на моем острове. И здесь есть закон. (Строго) . С этого острова может улететь только тот, кто споет мне песню. (Шутливо) . И, конечно, если она понравится. А она может мне не понравится. Ха-ха-ха! И тогда у меня будет прекрасный обед! (Мечтательно) . Я позову своих друзей : леших, водяных, ведьм. Знаете таких? Ну, скоро вы с ними познакомитесь поближе. Ха-ха-ха! У них в желудке. Ха-ха-ха! (Успокоившись) . Ну, ладно. Это все потом. А сейчас спойте свою последнюю песню. Ха-ха-ха!
М. Поппинс : Баба Яга! Разрешите нам посоветоваться.
Б. Яга (недоверчиво) : Посоветоваться? Ладно. Только недолго.
М. Поппинс (собирает всех вокруг себя) .
Все решают, какую песню будут петь. Баба Яга пытается подслушать. Дети не дают ей этого сделать. Дети поют песню «Oh, Christmas tree!» .

Б. Яга (продолжая напевать) : Как мне понравилась ваша песня! (Схватившись за голову) . Ой, что же я наделала? Придется вам отпустить. (Пауза) . Нет, еще не время. Я хочу с вами силой померяться.
Игра с ведрами. Кто быстрее с ведром на ноге оббежит вокруг елки.
Б. Яга : У-гу-гу! Осталась я без обеда. Зато новую песню услышала и поиграла с вами. Спасибо всем. Счастливого путешествия! (Кружит и, напевая новую песню, собирается уйти) .
М. Поппинс : Ребята, а может, позовем Бабу Ягу с собой? По-моему, она изменилась. Согласны? Снеговик, остановите Бабу Ягу.
Б. Яга : Спасибо. Спасибо. Эх, попоем, поиграем…
М. Поппинс : Полетели дальше! Sleep. Интересно, где это мы? Давайте позовем Санта Клауса. Если он придет, то мы попали по адресу, а если нет, то я не знаю. Давайте попробуем! Повторим 3 раза такие слова : «One, two, three, Santa Claus, come to me!» .
Под музыку в зал входит Санта Клаус.
С-Клаус : Here I am! Good afternoon! Children, Mary, guests! Merry Christmas! Glad to see you!
Дети здороваются с Санта Клаусом и жалеют ему счастливого Рождества .
М. Поппинс : Санта Клаус, как долго мы добирались до тебя, чтобы поиграть, повеселиться с тобой.
С-Клаус : Let’s play!
М. Поппинс : Давайте поиграем!
Игры :
1. «The Snowballs» . Участники игры встают в круг, передают по кругу один (или несколько – в зависимости от количества детей) «холодный снежок» и поют :
Snowballs, snowballs,
If you touch a snowball,
You quickly run away!
Ребенок, у которого по окончании песенки окажется «снежок» , выходит из игры «согревать ручки» , но продолжает подпевать оставшимся игрокам.
Игра продолжается до тех пор, пока не останется один игрок, самый «морозоустойчивый» .
2. «The Present hunt». Дети поют песенку :
Presents, presents in the sock,
Look in the sock at twelve o’clock!
Затем одному ребенку предлагается на ощупь определить, какая игрушка лежит в рождественском носке , и назвать ее по-английски . Игра возобновляется.
М. Поппинс : Санта Клаус, ты, наверное, очень устал. Отдохни, пожалуйста, а ребята прочитают тебе стихи.
Дети читают стихи.

М. Поппинс : Sleep! One, two, three. Fly umbrella with children and me. Children, wake up! Вот мы и дома. А вот и наша елочка. На том же самом месте.
Печкин : Чего-то все-таки не хватает. А чего, не пойму. (Глядит на елку) . Ребята, чего не хватает? (Дети говорят, что елочка не горит) . А какие есть волшебные слова? Санта Клаус, может, ты знаешь?
С-Клаус : Yes, I know. One, two, three! Shine, our fir-tree!
М. Поппинс : Ребята, давайте дружно скажем эти слова!
На 3 раз елочка зажигается.

С-Клаус : Thank you for your party. Thank you for your games, songs, poems. Merry Christmas! Now, I want to make you a Christmas present – “The Old Man’s Mitten” («Рукавичка» ).
Authour: An old man was walking through the forest one day with his dog. He walked and walked and dropped his mitten. Just then a mouse came scuttling up and when he saw the mitten he stopped and said:
Mouse: “This is whear I am going to live”.
Authour: After a while a Frog came hopping up.
Frog:“Croak! Croak! Who is living in this mitten?”
Mouse: “I am the Mouse and who are you?”
Frog: “I am the Frog! Let me in!”
Mouse: “All right, Jump in!”
Authour: “So the Frog jumped in and the Mouse moved over. After a while a Rabbit came scurrying up”
Rabbit: “Hello there! Who is living in this mitten?”
“We are. And who are you?”
Rabbit: “I am the Rabbit.May I join you?”
“All right.Jump in!”
Authour: “So the Rabbit jumped in and three of them made their home in the mitten. After a while a Fox came scampering up.”

Authour: “So the Fox climbed in and the four of them made their home in the mitten. After a while a Wolf came stalking up.”

Wolf: “I am the Wolf. And I mean to get in!”
“Very well.Go ahead!”
Authour: “So the Wolf climbed in and the Mouse, the Frog,the Rabbit,the Fox moved over and five of them made their home in the mitten”.
Authour: “After a while a Bear came lumbering up”
Bear: “Hello,good people! Who is living in this mitten?”
“We are. And who are you?”
Bear: “Ho-ho-ho! I am the Bear. I know you will make room for me.”
Authour: “So the Bear sgueezed in and now there were seven of them inside and they were so cramped that the mitten was fit to burst.”
“Bow-wow-wow” went the Dog. ”
Authour: “ And the seven friends were so frightened that out they jumped.Then the Old Man came up and picked up his mitten.” М. Поппинс : Давайте поблагодарим Санта Клауса за рождественский подарок . Сценарий праздника на английском языке «Английское Рождество»

Мончегорск, Мурманская область.Описание работы: Драматизация зарекомендовала себя как комплексный метод обучения иностранному языку и культуре, которая активизирует уже изученную лексику и коммуникативные навыки ребенка, привлекает предметы творческого цикла, такие как театр, музыка, рисование, художественный труд. Подобные сценарии рассчитаны на творческий подход со стороны учителей английского языка. В таких сценариях много стихов, песен, загадок, сценок из сказок, которые могут быть дополнены, заменены на новые или более подходящие. Данные разработки помогают в проведении праздников на английском языке, как начинающим, так и опытным учителям!
Цель праздника:
1. Расширение с помощью английского языка представления учащихся об окружающем мире.
2. Развитие речевой культуры учащихся.
3. Формирование готовности воспринимать культуру другого народа.
Задачи:
1. Формирование коммуникативной культуры.
2. Активизация творческих способностей ребенка, привитие вкуса к чтению стихов.

On the 25th of December people celebrate Christmas – a beautiful holiday, which is loved by children and adults; when everything is decorated with lights and toys; when we see Christmas trees everywhere; when people buy presents and cook special food, send cards and have parties!
Ведущий 2: Well, the candles are lit, the Christmas tree is glittering with lights, the fire in the fire-place is burning. It’s time to begin the festival. The festival of Christmas.
Ведущий 3: Everybody of you has his own mas, his own birthday which is celebrated with a light pie and tasty lemonade. But this occasion is something special; this is birthday of Jesus, our Savior. He was born on the 25-th of December, nearly 2.000 years ago. Are you interested how it happened? So listen.
Ведущий 1: Long, long ago in the town of Nazareth the carpenter Joseph lived. Joseph had a wife, Maria. The god’s angel once came to her and said:
Ангел: I come down from the heavens and ask you to listen carefully. A child will be born this evening. One day he will be king. Follow that star and you will find this prince of peace. The child"s name will be Jesus.
Волхвы (вместе): We will follow the star to our prince.
Голос за сценой: Mary has given birth to a baby boy. She and Joseph are sitting with their newborn child, Jesus. They are surrounded by barnyard animals. The three approach. The star is visible in the night sky.
Мария: Joseph, we have a beautiful baby boy.
Иосиф: Yes Mary. Mary darling, look there. (Показывает на приближающихся волхвов) Who are these men approaching us?
Подходят Волхвы.
Волхвы:
1. Greetings. I want to wish you great happiness and joy. I offer you, the parents of this child Jesus, my gift of gold. May this child have a life rich in experience.
2. Congratulations Mary and Joseph. This gist of spices and perfumes is for you my new prince. I have come many miles to find you. We know you are special and have only the best of wishes for you.

thank you for this wonderful baby. I have come many miles to bring you this gift. You’ll be good parents and enjoy this child"s life. Happy Birthday Baby Jesus!

Our festival is going on. In the centre of London at the Trafalgar square stands enormous green tree, gift from people of Oslo. In every house there stand evergreen trees, because the evergreen trees are the symbols of eternal life. Under the Christmas tree they put a manger with Christ baby.

The Germans are believed to be the first to use the Christmas tree in their celebrations, and Martin Luther was the first to place a star on the top of the tree. This star represent the star that appeared over the stable in which Christ was born.
Ведущий 1: The well – known image of Santa Claus was invented by Coca – Cola. The producers of this soft drink were very unhappy because their soft drink was considered a “summer” drink. They wanted to sell it in the winter too. So they hired a guy called Haddon Sandblom to make a nice ad for them. Sundblom immediately thought of Santa Claus. Actually, he modeled him more or less on his friendly neighbor, who had a round face, a short beard and a red nose… So thanks to Coca Cola, half the world is now giving each other expensive gifts for Christmas.

The people say: ”Happy New Year!” People eat the special food and drink rice wine during the meal.

At midnight when the clock begins to strike 12,the head of the family goes to the entrance door, opens it wide and holds it until the last stroke. Then he shuts the door. He has let the old year out and let the New Year in.

During the Christmas holidays people often sunbathe on the beach or swim and surf in the ocean. On the 31st of December many people go to the country for the picnic. People usually throw the old things from the houses through the windows: broken cups and plates, old clothes and boots and sometimes different pieces of furniture. People believe that on the New Year’s Eve the magician Befaniya comes to the houses through the chimney and put the presents for children in their stockings or shoes.
